⏸️ Pause
A simple SPT mod which allows you to pause the game including the raid timer. Press P to pause.
Mostly cobbled together from Kobrakon’s Take a Break as a learning exercise.
Works with SPT-AKI versions:
- 3.7.1
- 3.7.0
- 3.6.1
- 3.6.0
- 3.5.8
Installation
Unzip into your SPT plugins folder ([SPT]\BepInEx\plugins).
The default hotkey to pause is set to P.
Issues?
- Make sure you don’t have any previous versions of the Pause mod installed.
- In order to rule out conflicting mods, can you reproduce the issue with only Pause installed? Are there any mods that you think might be conflicting?
- PM me your BepInEx\LogOutput.log
What gets paused
- You
- Character Control
- Health
- Hydration & Energy
- Stamina
- AI
- Bot player models are hidden but their guns will remain visible while paused.
- Ragdoll physics get reset while paused
- Day/night cycle
- The raid timer
- The raid timer should automatically display and read PAUSED when activated.
What does not pause
These are some things that don’t currently pause and may not be worth the effort really, but just FYI.
- Grenades (will continue to fly, but fuses won’t tick)
- You falling/jumping
- Certain oxygen/stamina effects
- Pause while aiming continues to drain oxygen
- Pause while stamina is recovering will continue to recover
- Can still manage inventory to a degree (should not be able to use items)
- Maybe we can call this a feature

Updated for SPT-AKI 3.7.0. I haven’t personally tested this against 3.7.1 yet, but some people are reporting that it is working.
Just FYI there were quite a few changes for 3.7.0, so please let me know if you encounter any issues.
If you encounter any issues:
1. Can you reproduce the issue with only my mod installed?
2. PM me your BepInEx\LogOutput.log file.

This release includes some changes to prevent issues people have been experiencing with disappearing corpses and hit detection breaking, which seem to be related to ragdolls.
- As part of the work around, bot players will now be invisible while paused, but their guns will remain. This is intended for now.
- Heavily tested with the Visceral Bodies mod for compatibility

- Added support to pause day/night cycle
- Added a build compatible with SPT-AKI 3.5.8

Oh WOW yes! This works so Well!
I paused mid scav-raid to go cook lunch and eat with the wife…
Over an hour, returned, resumed, finished raid with all that good airdrop loot i had on board.
Great test!
Worked perf, bro. Thanks so much!!
Please make this happen for 3.8! Dads (& moms?) around the globe need this more than anything else!
Withness me, this functionality should be part of the AKI by default!
Love to have this mod on 3.8!
Had an issue just now, paused for 20ish minutes, when unpaused i was immortal, couldn’t pick up any items or search anything and enemies would become immortal too, as if bullets didn’t even hit either of us.
I used the pause button for like 30minutes in interchange and I end-up losing as if the time run out with I unpaused. well, I don’t know why
I attempted to fix the mod for 3.7.6, seems to be working for me, version is up here (and made a pull request):
https://github.com/Yahkub-R/Pause
I would pay for someone to update this to 3.7.6 and fix the raid timer!!
Installed the mod and on the main menu it said that a plugin failed to activate and to check the console. Nothing was wrong in console so i assumed i downloaded the wrong version. Downloaded the older version and now my game refuses to launch the server with or without the mod installed.
The application had a critical error and failed to run

Everything is stopped, but not the raid time. Aki 3.7.3
Looks like pausing the game causes a memory leak, which leads to a game crash (the time before that happens depends on the amount of RAM installed).
