Description

CHECK INSTALL TAB FOR REQUIRED DEPENDENCY!

Replace splash screen: put videos (mp4, gif) or pictures (jpeg, png, webp, etc.) into the “splash” folder.

Every game restart will have a randomly selected splash screen.

The video volume can be adjusted in the BepInEx F12 menu in-game.

Every game restart will have a randomly selected wallpaper.

Install

THIS MOD REQUIRES EFTApi 1.1.4 or later - INSTALL IT FIRST

Extract BepInEx folder from 7z to Game Root directory

(Yes it’s QuestTracker, it works the same for this mod)

Issue

First, did you install EftApi? If not, install it.

If nothing, create a support thread. Describe your game version, what other mods you have installed, and what error(s) you are getting. If possible, attach a link to your LogOutput.log

Hey, i’m not sure if this is an issue or not but in my environment folder I have about 14 png’s but in practice I only see about 3-4 of them during my time playing, i’ve tried reinstalling the mod to see if that fixes it but to no avail. Is this because EFT can only handle so many potential main menu backgrounds or is it something else? Any help is appreciated.

Likely just the RNG code not hitting the other 11. It’s not impossible. I would suggest having less than 6. I have 4 and it suits me well. I’ve never tried 14 to be honest with you though

Had a bunch of backgrounds that were really cool, I guess i’ll get rid of some of the less cool ones. I do hope in the future it can support more though, anyways the mod is great, thank you for responding and the great mod.

I would try to fix this but I don’t know how Kmy’s api works and I have no interest in trying to figure it out unfortunately

Just checked all my mods and checked this mod aswell. Looking at it I realized I made a very stupid mistake. The reason I wasn’t seeing alot of the other main menu screens and some splash screens is because this mod doesn’t support .jpeg pictures and I forgot to change some of them to .png . I will test it further to see if it does actually support more than 6 screens but it should work now.

I’m probably asking a dumb question, but I don’t know which is a “SPLASH SCREEN” and which is an “environment SCREEN”. Can someone point out which is what with words and images. TYVM

Splash screen is a common term for loading screen. It’s what you see while the game is loading into your profile.

Environment is the actual wallpaper in all the menus. Inventory, settings, flea, etc.

Anyone know the proper way to change webm files to mp4s? Just converting the .webm to .mp4 seems to not work, as when used with this mod, it will just white screen instead of using any art

Changing the filename won’t do much. Google “convert webm to mp4” and you’ll find hopefully one decent result.

I feel your pain with that one also, because webp is still an image format but cannot be viewed by most editors because it’s a webbased image format, and changing the filename does nada. You have to use a service to convert it to png or jpeg.

That’s out of my hands unfortunately, since I ported this but didn’t edit the code. You could find a way to crop the wallpaper into 16:9.

  • You’re using the wrong extension(s) for your image(s)
  • You’re using the wrong SPT / mod version.

It works fine for me on 3.9.0 when using JPEGs in the environment folder.

i just double checked 5 times and thats exactly what i did the last time i used it in 3.8.3.
Its even the same pictures as i used before.
using the latest version of eft api, the latest version of your mod and the last version of spt 3.9.2
