This mod adds a new “Extraction Intelligence” items to the game.

Each Trader is an expert in the collection and dissemination of intelligence. They wouldn’t have gotten where they are now if they weren’t. Above all, there is one kind of information each is always eager to hear. Where they, their men, and their supplies can cross between the districts of Tarkov safely. I hear the traders have some recent reports for sale. What do you say new guy? You don’t know your way around, and they need someone to verify the intel. A win-win!

Why?

It is extremely difficult to find the extract on a map you are unfamiliar with. I am convinced the only reason Sherpas are a thing is because they forgot to close the most basic game-play loop of telling you where to extract. These documents offer an immersive way gain that knowledge.

  • Intel can be purchased from traders and brought into raids to help find your way to an extraction. I gave the documents to whoever I felt best fit that map*.*
  • Prices range around 30-60k, no reputation requirements except for Labs.
  • Nearly all the descriptions give cardinal directions, with north oriented the same as all Dynamic Maps. Don’t forget to buy a compass!
  • You will also want to turn off Extract Locations in the Dynamic Maps F12 settings.
  • You will need UI Fixes to make the text fit appropriately.

Future Plans:

  • While all maps and extracts are in the game, not all extracts have been re-written to the more interesting “short-stories” brought in 2.0. IF YOU HAVE IDEAS FOR AN COOL EXTRACT SCENARIO, I NEED IT PLS!
  • I like the idea of adding quests to the traders to simply extract at all the locations of a map as a way to “verify intelligence” and keep track of what extracts you haven’t been to yet and challenge you to try new ones
  • Add SCAV extract intel documents to the Scav kits/loot pool instead of being purchasable.

Would it be possible to disable an extract in-raid until the extract intel is purchased? I’m curious for further development.

echOo.

It is only to purchase or can it spawn, can it be found in raid?
Cool idea for a mod

An interesting variation of this mod would be if some extracts required turning in extraction intel specific to it. Seems like a good way to rework the co-op extracts e.g. you gotta buy a scav camp intel folder from Ragman after a certain trader level / quest unlock in order to extract from there on Interchange.

This is such a fun and interesting “Vanilla Plus” style addition
Really think the base-game’s new player experience would benefit from stuff like
Definitely adding this to my list of mods for an immersive playthrough

Thanks! Hope you like them. And open invitation to everyone for corrections if you find any spelling or lore mistakes.

Do you have anywhere I can submit ideas/suggestions for the extraction intel for maps you haven’t completed? as I don’t want to clutter the comments or support thread

Yeah, I’ve got a thread in the FIKA discord. Ty!

Probably not smart to try run this with Path To Tarkov HAH

there is no incompatibility here + Path To Tarkov use vanilla extracts so I don’t see any problem to use this mod with it.

Just some exfils mentioned by this mod may be unavailable according to your ptt config.

It could be a good idea to have a deeper integration between this mod and ptt though. (like filtering unused exfils, supporting custom exfils, adding some informations about transits, and even offraid positions)

I have not tried PTT yet as cool as it sounds, but yeah I can imagine a compatibility module. I didn’t know it added custom exfils. And no transit locations yet. Trying to get all the maps done first.

custom exfils is a planned feature that is not available yet.

Can You Put the Maps in Special Slot? asking so I can access it without needing to go to the maps tab

I think I can make it go in special. though, the you don’t really access the “maps” through the maps tab. The extraction text is in the item description, so you have to inspect/double click on it in your inventory to read it.

ah yeah I was confusing it with Dynamic Maps apologies
