Insured items aren't dropped on death.
An update to JustNU’s Insurance+ for the latest version of SPT!
Changes the insurance system to allow you to keep your insured items equipped upon death.
Item’s dropped in raid will be handled normally through the vanilla game’s return system.
Make sure you insure container’s with insured items. If the container the item is in isn’t insured then it’ll be lost.
If you’d like to increase insurance prices you can do so with this mod TraderQoL
Simply extract mattdokn-insuranceplus.zip into your game folder
- LoseInsuranceOnItemAfterDeath
- Default: false
- If this is enabled, after dying in raid. The insured items you kept equipped will lose their insured status.
- LoseAmmoInMagazines
- Default: false
- If this is enabled, ammo that is chambered or loaded into an insured magazine/weapon will be removed.
If you see anything that stands out to you, please let me know in the comments or submit an issue on github.
- Insured items inside an uninsured container will not be returned to you on death.
- Bullets in magazines stay after death. (Round in chamber gets removed though lol)
- You are able to insure items that are needed to be placed for quests and get them back after the raid, this won’t be fixed as it would require adding a client component to see if you planted an insured item. link

I’m assuming this won’t conflict with your Trader QoL mod, right?
Is there anyway we could get an option for losing insurance on an item after a certain number of raids (death or not)? Like I insure a gun for 4 raids and get it back every time but after that 4th raid (whether I die or extract) the insurance still wears off?
In Versions, the author specifically thanks those who opened tickets on github. But I’m too dumb to find it. Is there a more ‘relevant’ spot for this mod’s activity?
Please update🥰
cool mod, can we get an option in the config to remove insurance on items after raid end? I feel like this would be a nice balancing option.
Great mod, thank you for this. Unfortunately, keeping the ammo option doesn’t seem to work. I’ve “toggled” it a few times to be sure, but even with the value set to false I still lose ammo on death. Is this something that will be looked into/addressed?
Nice mod, have used it the last days but I found a weird bug (latest SPT 3.10.5, I think, latest mod version).
When I die in a raid, I return with my insured stuff, without the ammo - as configured. A while later, though, usually the next time I start the server and play, I get messages from the insurer (depending on whom I insured with) and they send me copies of the items they have ‘retrieved’ and which I have never lost in the first place.
It leads to piles of expensive items that are duped and can be potentially sold again, clutter the inventory at any rate.
I couldn’t tell you whether it’s some unwanted effect from another of the 50+ mods I use. Just wanted to let you know.
Also, I am not sure if it’s intended to, but the mod does not appear in the ingame mod configuration menus.
Cheers
Edit: I just read a below comment of someone who pointed that behavior out already! Apologies.
really appreciate someone keeping this mod idea alive - Fika compatibility would be awesome though
I have had insured guns be lost one time only, not sure if this was caused by something else, and prapor seems to be returning items still , so i end up with tons of duplicates.
Found a small issue with the mod:
if you enable “lose insurance on death” your weapon attachments seems to get stripped, even the vital ones no matter what.
