Wish you could select the season in SPT instead of relying on the inevitable passage of time? Now you can.
Yep, I finally did it, made my first proper mod. This one is fairly straightforward: instead of SPT determining what season the game should be based on the date, you can force a specific one using this mod.
To disable seasonal events, use a mod like Kuromi’s Disable Seasonal Events.
To randomly select seasons, use a mod like Random Season Ripoff.
To complexly select seasons, use a mod like Season Override & Dynamic Weather.
Installation:
Drag and drop the content of the archive into your SPT folder. Please use 7zip.
Configuration:
You can set the desired season inside
user\mods\Sheepy-SimpleSeasonSelector\config\config.jsonc
Use notepad to edit it. In case something went wrong, it will automatically pick Auto.

Removed “Save Christmas” as I hope it’s fixed.
Removed the override checker. Some mods, like Raid Overhaul, set the season in such a way that isn’t easily detectable by this mod.

New Function: Save Christmas
When set to true, extends both Winter and Christmas to the 31st of December. Enjoy it until the 1st of January, when it’s actually meant to end.
To not use the fix, set “SaveChristmas” to false in the config.
SPT 3.10 has a bug where it doesn’t cover that date with any season nor event, giving 1 day of Summer and cutting Christmas short.

sheepy, thanks for the update. So since the last 1.1.1 (Jul 20th, 2024) version, setting “summer” in the config.json was NOT working? And this fixes it? Thanks in advance.
for some reason, in winter season there is ugly spring-summer like patches of textures on all maps (should be winter like or plain white) i will place some screenshots if needed !!! SSS IS LOADING AFTER SVM SO NO INCOPAT BETWEEN THEM WOULD NOT OCCUR !!!
