do you see in the server log that the mod was loaded? what is the exact error message? it should give more details than “connection error”

all it said was: ‘Please check SPT Server is running, the connection details are correct and the mod is installed in your user folder’ and it gave me the message: ‘Get “https://[SERVER IP]/give-ui/server”: http: server gave HTTP response to HTTPS client’

and the only error i got from the server was: ’[UNHANDLED][/give-ui/server]

looks like the server is not under “https” ? you should use “http://…” instead of the current “https://….” in the login screen of give-ui

i already had that idea, but it said that there was a letter missing

your profile contains a string instead of number in an item property StackObjectsCount You can do a search and replace in your profile or you can share it and i can fix it for you

Make sure the mod is loaded, check the server log when it starts and verify you see the line that give-ui was loaded, something like:

ModLoader: loading: 1 server mods...
Mod: give-ui version: 4.0.0 (targets SPT: ~4.0.0) by: agavalda loaded

Okay so I figured it out, In your SPT directory you need to have another SPT folder inside of it so that GIVE UI can load and its also the same for server value modifier. Its different what it was last time.

yes, since SPT 4.0, there is a inner folder called “SPT” as well. The installation of this mods remains the same, you unzip it in your root folder installation and give-ui has already an “SPT” folder which contains everything you need.

you might want to complain to SPT support, give-ui only sends the commands for you, if they don’t work is not give-ui fault

Works fine to me. Make sure in the server log is printed at the start that give-ui was loaded, it might be not installed in the proper folder

it was installed in the proper folder but wasn’t being loaded. after a fresh reinstall (even though the last install was also fresh..) it worked again. weird, thanks lol

I downloaded “MicrosoftEdgeWebView2RuntimeInstallerX64.exe “ and at startup, there was the same error that WebView2 was already installed, but I tried to run the installer as an administrator and it helped, everything was installed and the problem with the mod was resolved.

Hey mate, thx u for the mod, it’s working great, i really like it) Very useful!

But i have two requests:

1. Can you add the possible to add items without FIR checkmark?
2. Can you add the possible to add/unlock clothes?

I’m missing only these two option, otherwise everything is very good :)

The FIR checkmark probably can be done About the clothes, give-ui only sends existing commands to the server, if there is no command for unlocking clothes already built in SPT then give-ui can’t do it, i believe you can use SVM to unlock clothes, but i never tried

currently there is no way to do that, but it’s an interesting idea…. i might think about it in the near future

i was thinking that trying to set up a container with specific items inside might be a pain, since i would have to calculate how many items can fit inside…. what if you would be able to select N items and add them into some kind of “cart” and then send them at once, that would be good for your use case?

also would you expect to save this “pre-packaged” items to re-send later?

I have to think a bit how the UI would look for that… i would need some kind of form to name those prizes and some search of items on top… need to think :)

I’m certain you can figure it out! The peak of convenience on that UI would be a dropdown to select a profile to which to send the finalized package. Given that you select a profile at the start, it might make sense to have this inferface be parallel to that. So when you start give-ui, you either select a profile to work on giving items to as normal, or package mode where you build a package and can select a profile to send it?

Having a parallel interface for that is the most straightforward since i won’t be polluting the main UI, but on the other hand i don’t like to have 2 different UIs for “almost” the same thing… and then i have to explain somewhere how this new thing works…. not sure yet :)

For now i think is gonna be a new tab, where you can manage these “bundles” or packages… (Still haven’t decided the name…) and then from the items page you can add those items into bundles and then send them in one go…. but i need to test how many clicks i have to press… i don’t like clicking too much around :D so i might end doing your proposed solution… oh well, we will see, no need to explain here my life!

I will work on it this week and see if i can put something together.

move the orange ‘add to bundle’ button to the right of the ‘give’ button (I really like bundles being colour-coded orange, nice touch)

I would like the main action of the page to still be “give” button, and normally the main actions are on the right side of the page. That’s why i decided to move it a bit outside the view.

I think an orange bar/strip/accent at the top of the window to signify a bundle is currently selected (perhaps with the bundle name at the top right in small text within the strip, so you know always what bundle you’re working on) would be good

I still haven’t figure out where to mark which bundle is selected in a clean way, i added that tooltip in the bundle button, maybe i will put in bottom bar, where the version number/profile are…

the X to remove an item from a bundle is a bit too similar to the X to close that window, I think a ‘remove’ button might read better

Not fan of the current implementation either, i will update the button to be square with some trashbin icon

No button yet for adding user weapon presets to bundles, that would be pretty great

That won’t be possible. As far as I remember you wanted this to give some kind of prizes between different profiles, user weapons are attached to your current selected profile and can’t be shared. You can still give “presets” from the items page, ie: out of the box weapons with all the parts attached.

I couldn’t actually get any bundles to send, I just got a message in game saying the command wasn’t recognised

The bundles should be working already, make sure you don’t have 2 give-ui installed in your “mods” folder, the dev build has a different give-ui folder name and it might be happening that you end with 2 installations.

Ah, that last one might be my fault, you’re right. Thank you so much for your hard work; once I have migrated my friends’ server over to 4.0 I will be able to do more testing I think. There are mods they don’t want to play without so we’re kinda stuck on 3.11 waiting

I uploaded a new version, basically changes:

• allow to change quantity of items in the dialog
• removed the delete item from the dialog, now you have to set 0 the amount and click update
• added the selected bundle in the footer

Whenever you have time give it a try, im not in a hurry so feel free to do check whenever is good for you
