WTT recreates the iconic derivative from the OICW program.
WTT brings you the derivative from the US Army’s OICW program, the XM8. While the XM8 would never be fully adopted by the US Military, it remains faithfully in the limelight through its notable appearances in multiple video games and media through the times. This release aims to continue that homage in one of its four iterations it has been seen in through the times, with some artistic liberties taken to ensure it feels more at home in the Tarkov world.

What is Welcome To Tarkov?
Welcome To Tarkov (WTT) is a mod for SPT AKI that has been in development for over a year. What started as a small passion project has grown in size to incorporate 10+ core members as well as contributions from other well-known mod authors and friends of WTT alike.
How does Welcome To Tarkov change the game?
As a mod, WTT overhauls SPT AKI, touching on almost every vanilla game system, as well as adding completely new systems to the game and its core mechanics. Inspired by open-world hardcore survival projects like STALKER: Anomaly and STALKER: GAMMA, WTT takes SPT’s artificial multiplayer MMO difficulty adders and replaces them with a challenging world economy, loot scarcity rebalancing, a lore friendly quest overhaul, and a map-traveling system built from rewritten portions of the Traveler mod allowing seamless travel between maps. Aside from its changes to the game’s core properties, WTT also adds to the world’s variety of traders, NPC’s, characters, items, and quests:
- Over 500 custom bundles adding new weapons, attachments, wearables, containers, food, medical, and barter items.
- New bosses with their own custom gear that will be properly incorporated into WTT’s quest lines.
- New, meaningful traders with their own lore-friendly quests and narrative elements to help the player progress through the story-line of WTT.
- New playable characters and outfits that will add to the player’s customization abilities.
- New quest types incorporating brand new map extraction points, putting the player’s knowledge and familiarization of SPT’s maps to the test.
Welcome To Tarkov stands as one of the largest mods created for SPT AKI thus far.

Hello, it isn’t a game breaking bug or anything, but I just wanted to let you know, if you try to use the compass while you have the XM8 equipped, the compass doesn’t render.
I have no idea if this is an issue with any modded in gun, or if it is exclusive to the XM8.

Hi, I was doing an update for my realism patch and noticed something after trying to patch the stock types: the stock adapter doesn’t have a slot for the foldable stock, of course you can add it on mod menu but you can also add the foldable stock without the adapter (making the stock fluctuate behind the gun). This is probably because you cloned the properties from the HK G36 polymer stock, which doesn’t have a slot for stock. I tried to change the cloned item from the adapter to a PT Zenit Lock and it added a slot, but it also made so you can add the AK stock on the XM8 adapter. I don’t know the code responsible for these item dependencies and I have too much stuff irl to go around trying to puzzle, can someone lend a hand on how to properly add support for these items, so the adapter has a slot for the foldable stock and it doesn’t mess with other unrelated parts?

So, are we ever going to get the actual PCAPS attachments, or can we at least get a PCAPS adapter for a foregrip?

I have a bug to report. For some reason, when i use the USGI A2, Surefire SF3P, SF4P, or Warcomp flash hiders, the gun immediately dumps all 30 rounds into the target. Theres also no sound. I will test without realism ballistics and see if that changes it. I tested every other muzzle and they work fine.
FISH GUN
