Version Notes

This version will only work for SPT 3.11.x

- Updated for SPT 3.11.x

This download is externally hosted.
Always scan for viruses.

Please refer to original mod for description and how to install it. I simply updated it to work on 3.9.X.

- CLICK ME-Configurable Steps Volume by smthing

****I streamlined the installation process. Simply drag the user folder into your main Spt Directory and enjoy a world of silence.

If smthing wants it removed. It will be removed without warning.

If you wanna edit the volume percentage, go to SPT\user\mods\SPT-ConfigurableStepsVolume-1.1.1 and open the config.json. Change 45 to whatever you prefer. Making it 100 is complete silence. I would go to more than 60.

- someone messed something up. I wont point any fingers or anything

- the last one only breaks on new empty profiles. existing users wont notice anything.

- download this anyways to make sure future support is for an update version.

Messed up on the file name. You need to go into your user/mods and remove the the 1.1.3 version and re-download this. Sorry. The Google Drive link has been replaced, but those affected, do what this says. Just re-download the latest version.

- fixed a skill check. thanks to Trap for that one

sorry to bother you sir, it’s really a great mod and does decline my footsteps sound.

Yet my firing sound seems to be disappeared as well. I could even hear the rounds boucing but without firing sound.

I basiclly set the volume at 45 and no other sound-changing mods were added.

It would be great if you could tell me what’s wrong. Did this situation happen before?

I personally wouldn’t know why as I didn’t update it, or have time to properly test it myself. My guess is that it’s another mod, could be anything really. I wouldn’t know without logs, but I also don’t quite have the time at the moment to go through them. See if anyone on the Spt Discord might be able to help until I have time.

I am not sure I have been messing around with numbers. I am either dumber then a box of rocks or I am doing something wrong. It doesn’t seem to be working for me I changed the number from the factory ( 40) I believe to 85 nothing happen I tired 0.85 pretty sure it got louder but nothing I could really notice to say for sure.. if you could please tell me what I missing or doing wrong that would be great I hate the sound of myself chewing just as much as hearing my footsteps.

thank you thank you

Oof, it seems like the latest version of MOAR conflicts with this mod

Could very much be the case if Moar also says which volume bots should use. This is not my mod so I can’t fix it.

For the people that are on 3.10, the mod still works, you just have to change the package.json version to 3.10.

Community still misses this for 3.10

I’m in so deep with other things at the moment. Pretty much just moved and currently tied up in a repainting. I will get to it eventually unless someone else does. Say January 2025.

I’m not rushing you and I appreciate your hard work. Looking forward to getting the update. Congrats on the move.

Thanks for the update, no need to remove it. But please do a PR at https://github.com/unai-ndz/SPT-ConfigurableStepsVolume so the source is tracked

It was needed - the community missed it. Absolutely, I just have to figure out how to use Github. My knowledge sadly don’t extend farther than like Gdrive, Mediafire etc when it comes to file sharing.

It’s nice to come back after some updates and find someone bothered to update one of your mods tbh.

I will add your changes to github eventually if you can’t find the time, no worries.

I wonder if there is a way to reduce pmc gear gingling too. And weapon sound, med useage, weapon switching ect. Its all so loud.

I’m the original author of the mod, afaik it’s not possible, at least as easily as this mod.

EDIT: Maybe doing something like: Quieter Faceshield Breathing

I also get the same error as helsingdvtz:
SPT 3.9.8 with mod 1.1.4 (no other mods loaded)

Edit: Could be a ME issue (still testing) - has something to do with profiles
Edit2: So this error message appears when there is a profile that is not fully configured (i.e. choose language, face and faction)

Probably. I personally have no clue how. But I can ask around and perhaps implement that into this one. I do suggest that you avoid running into bushes. Not very realistic for a “Escape from Tarkov is a hardcore and realistic online first-person action RPG/Simulator with MMO features and a story-driven walkthrough.”
