Important Notes

  • This is for SPT Version 4.0.13.
  • An SPT 4.1.0 compatible version will not be released until the dependency mods are released.
  • Please do not post comments complaining without offering assistance with troubleshooting. I am more than happy to patch things if you help me. If you just want to complain don’t download SOCOM.
  • Any issues requiring more than just a log output such as screenshots or videos, please report them to mt_patriot1776 on Discord.
  • I do not make the assets, I merely modify existing custom or vanilla assets and add them to the trader.
  • Do not report issues specifically mentioning SOCOM in the server log to WTT, Eco, ECOT, or EPIC. Please report them to me so they are not bothered by a mod they didn’t create.

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed red or missing attachments caused by duplicate Unity bundle identities.
  • Preserved suppressor-stacking restrictions while allowing intended PRT accessories.
  • Moved SOCOM to the latest safe startup position before SPT trader registration. This is to address a possible fix for issues with ACID Progressive Bot low level PMCs. Please report back any issues if the mod load order does not fix this issue.

New Features to address duplicate bundles with ECOT, ECO, and and TGC

  • Added automatic bundle deduplication.
    • SOCOM scans previously registered bundles for byte-identical files using SHA-256.
    • When an identical bundle is found, SOCOM reuses the existing bundle and redirects only the affected SOCOM items.
    • Bundle reuse and item redirects are reported in the server log.
  • Added compatibility safeguards for bundles shared with required mods.

Bundle Improvements

  • Renamed all 10 SOCOM-owned bundles with a unique _socom suffix.
  • Rebuilt their internal Unity CAB identities to prevent collisions with other mods..

Compatibility Testing

  • Tested alongside 60+ other server mods.
  • Audited more than 2,700 installed bundle-manifest entries.
  • Confirmed:
    • No missing installed bundle files
    • No cross-mod bundle-key collisions
    • No SOCOM custom-item ID collisions
    • No SOCOM quest or trader ID collisions
    • No duplicate SOCOM internal CAB identities
  • Verified successful server startup, client bundle retrieval, trader loading, quest loading, and bundle redirection.
