# watsy’s SPT Recoil Standalone mod.
I’m crap at FPS games. I need help. This little mod helps with the games recoil mechanics and it’s hold breath function whilst ADSing.
Everything can be adjusted including the recoil and sway (hold breath) using the config.ts file. (open with Notepad++ for clear explanations and examples of use for the settings)
The default settings I use seem really nice. You can go with those settings are play around to suit your own style. (See examples within the config).
Default settings are also within the config.ts file for reference
Just drop the SPT Recoil Standalone folder into the user/mods folder.
Enjoy.

I have now updated for recoil changes to the weapons that will effect “player only” and not bot and players as it was previously

Great mod. I just have a small question. When I’m shooting full auto, I notice the center of my aim seems to start moving downwards compared to the center of my screen the longer I shoot. The gun is staying stable, but my camera is recoiling upwards. Is there anyway to fix the aim to the center? Or is this just how vanilla Tarkov is?
A video review on how to set it up wouldn’t hurt at all.

Здраствуйте, а можно пресет отдачу оружия и камеры на 0 что бы вообще не было отдачи? А то тоже пытаюсь меня и ничего не получается, отдача остается все такое же, пулемет вообще не удержать. версия 3.11, Спасибо.

It also has a really well documented config file.
One suggestion I have, is to make the installation process easier/safer/more convenient:
Change the folder structure slightly to resemble the final folder structure when installed and also include the mod version instead of the SPT version.
So from this:
SPT_Recoil_Standalone 3.11.x.7z\SPT_Recoil_Standalone 3.11.x\SPT_Recoil_Standalone
To maybe something like this:
SPT_Recoil_Standalone 1.0.11.7z\user\mods\watsy-SPT_Recoil_Standalone
Or this if you want to keep the SPT version:
SPT_Recoil_Standalone 3.11.x.7z\SPT_Recoil_Standalone 1.0.11\user\mods\watsy-SPT_Recoil_Standalone
This would (hopefully) make it clear for inexperienced users how to install the mod without install instructions.

Is there a way to reduce the drag on your character’s weapon when turning/rotating. It’s like dragging your rifle through water or one handing it, it feels terrible when trying to react quickly.
Howdy, I’ve got a question in regards to the mod and what it affects.
My gripe with the aim in Tarkov at the moment is that when you walk the gun sights move away from the center of the screen too much, this bugs me when I walk IRL and shoot my sights don’t move much from my center of view like it does in the game.
Looking through your settings in the .ts file I am curious as it’s unclear to me, do any of these make the sight less likely to move when you’re aiming down sights and moving?
