Live Like Experience - A SAIN Preset

  • Provides manageable Scavs. They aren't usually fearsome warriors, but ignore them long enough and they might get lucky.
  • PMC's are a threat. A healthy mix of Chads and Normal players. They will be an issue.
  • Bosses and followers exist to be a challenge.
  • AI hearing is turned wayyyy down, the goal is to keep them from starring at walls and sitting in cover forever.
  • AI has some minor map specific tuning. For example, labs will see must more aggressive play than shoreline.

Overall this preset aims to provide a "Live Like Experience". Some raids will be easy, some raids you'll run into a super sweaty giga chad. Boss fights should be a challenge while scavs should usually be easy kills. I'm a believer of "if you're surviving every raid because the fights are a joke than it's not fun" camp, so expect to die sometimes.

This preset is what I play with, I'm a 30 something dad gamer with a military background. So the goal is fun, semi-realistic, and not soul crushing.

Hearing

- Removed the global hearing debuff in favor of more selective debuffs

- No more sneaking up and touching bots because your feet are silent

- Tweaked all of the random ranges (healing/reloading/etc..)

- Gunshot sounds should still be nerfed to avoid swarming

Scavs

- Received a slight buff to aiming while moving

Rogues

- Received a massive nerf to aggression in an attempt to get them to stop pathing out of rogue camp

- Massive buff to vision to snipe you with the mounted guns when you're cheesing on the rock

PMC's

- Slight buff to the odds they'll try to shoot you in the face

- Slight buff to aiming while moving

- Slight buff to aiming at range

  • Reverted occlusion settings as it was resulting in bots being deaf. (BSG issue with map sound occlusion)
  • Bots are now less accurate on determining positions based solely on sound.
  • Add more variety among sound causing actions when it comes to position finding.

Vision

  • Bot vision at night with both NVG and Flashlights has received a buff

Cover Changes

  • Bots should be smarter about returning fire if in the open
  • Bots should no longer run absurd distances for cover
  • Bots will consider cover closer to the enemy

Scav Changes

  • Scavs should be more varied now
  • Still weaker than PMC's but some should be a little more spicy
  • They no longer just aim center mass, RIP legs and arms.

Lighting Changes

  • PMC's now notice lights (flashlights/lasers) at longer distances

Aggression Changes

  • Chads "chase gunfire" range has been lowered
  • Search speeds tweaked for most personalities

Location Specific Changes

  • Labs should be a bit more spicy
  • Tweaked bot view distance a bit on big maps (woods/loothouse/shoreline)
    • This might need to be buffed a bit more, trying to make them not be braindead to people sniping.

Misc

  • A lot of little tweaks (mainly with scavs) when it comes to aiming.
    • Includes aiming while under fire, aiming while wounded, etc...
