I’ve been wanting an updated and more optimal, ideal version of the Select Entry Point mod, so I made a new client mod that updates but also expands the options and settings.

Features

NOTE: DO NOT CONFUSE THIS WITH Entry Point Selector 2.0!
This mod works entirely through the F12 BepInEx menu

This mod supports the following:

  • Spawning in to the exact same place you last exfiltrated from (provided it’s the same map)
  • Choosing which exfil zone you’d like to spawn nearby.
  • Spawning in to the Home Comforts’ portable Safehouse exfil point. If used, the **Spawn into your last exfil** option will be disabled.
Core section

Spawn into your last exfil

If you want to spawn where you last exfiltrated (on the same map)

Choose infil spawn

If you want to choose which exfil to spawn nearby on the given map

Wipe saved exfil spawn data

Wipes all existing player spawn data for all maps (use with caution!)

Installation
  1. Download the mod
  2. Open the hazelify.EntryPointSelector.zip archive with 7-Zip
  3. Drag-and-drop the BepInEx folder into your main SPT folder (where EscapeFromTarkov.exe resides)
  4. Profit

For anyone that is using this AND lacy’s pve tweaks, turning off “Choose infil spawn) via f12 settings gets rid of the error “Object reference not set to an instance of an object” when entering Labyrinth via the map option. (Sorry if this is against any rules, I just wanted this to be known so anyone who uses both the mods knows a fix for it.)

This mod causes Interchange to crash back to the main menu after the first successful load of the map. As in after the first time you complete a raid on interchange you can no longer go back without it crashing.

Instead of simply choosing the closest spawn point to the selected exfil, would it be possible to choose a random spawn point within some radius of that exfil? I really like the option of having some control over where I’m deploying into a map, but it would be nice to still have a bit of variety, rather than it being exactly the same point every time.

In 4.0, at many spawn points it gives this error “Object reference not ser to an instance of an object”

Is there any way your mod could support vanilla spawn points as well? When choosing my infil, I’d like to be able to choose any of the vanilla spawn locations

Also, on Interchange Railway and Emercom are only available for Scav spawn, not PMC, unsure why

I fetched spawnpoints from Acid’s botdebug mod, I don’t know where the vanilla spawn points are if they are not used by my mod. You cannot choose “any of the vanilla spawn locations,” because choosing infil chooses an exfil and finds the closest spawnpoint to it. The intention is not to let the player select an actual spawnpoint, just an exfil location.

I am aware of the Interchange issues. I’m actively working towards finding a way to make exfil options configurable.

The mod is called “entry-point selector”, doesnt it? Maybe you should call it “exfil-point selector” …

Ive been doing a transit only run and really enjoying using the “spawn into last exfil” option. Got me thinking if its possible to make an extension for when you use transits; to spawn at the correlating transit area on the next map rather than somewhere random? Anyways, love the mod, thank you!

Since I got this mod, multiple times i spawned on other PMC’s spawn point, and got instant KIA.
Idk if it’s directly due to your mod but it’s VERY INCONVENIENT, i got raid overall and looting bots, and I’ve played with thoses w/out your mod, and without any problems.
Idk if you can do anything abt it, just so you know.

You’re getting this because this mod manipulates your spawn post-original spawn. This means there is a >50% chance you spawn right next to an already spawned PMC squad. I’ve gotten this a lot, however since I’m quite quick on my feet I’ve never been killed doing it. Like StvrScourge said, this most commonly happens with ABPS.

If it bothers you enough, I would suggest using the Use Last Exfil option, or disabling both options altogether. This is not something I can fix due to how this mod fundamentally works. Sorry!

I dont use ABPS, and last time I used “last exfil” I got stuck behind D2’s door
I just got rid of the mod, thanks for the answer though.

Well…. you exfiltrated in D2, behind a locked door that requires a lever to be pulled in order for the door to open, from the opposite side of where you spawned. The feature therefore works exactly as intended.

As for the spawning, it doesn’t really matter what spawning system you use. You run a chance of spawning near spawned AI in general when you teleport away from the original spawn.

It seems that extracts become unavailable if I extend the raid time in SVM with this mod enabled. Has anyone experienced a similar problem?

I have extended extraction time (+60 minutes). I suspect this is one of the known bugs, that I cannot personally reproduce, where you spawn in and exfils disable themselves when you enter an exfil zone.

The fix I remember trying was to enter an exfil, walk out of it, then re-enter it. Unfortunately it seems to be hit or miss, and I don’t quite know how to fix the original issue.

I haven’t changed the values in SVM, but have SVM mod. Seen this twice, once in Ground Zero on the Emercom exit. Before you get there, check exit its green when you get there no extraction countdown, and all exits are black. Walk a little way out and check exit. Emercom is green, and you cann extract. Same with Customs Ruf exit, same solution, walk a little out and it’s enabled again.
