This is an update of the original NoBushESP

  • Ported to 3.11
  • Works on Fika dedicated (copy plugin to dedicated client plugins)

Every time AI targets a player, it will check if certain items like bushes are in the way.

If something is in the way it stops the bot from aiming and shooting at you.

Nice mod! One question though: What if the bot was already aiming before the player hid behind a bush? Will it keep aiming and shoot or cancel the aim?

addresses 1 of the top 2 hated things about AI in Tark.
Being bush esp : ON and Headshot: ON.
These functions are part of how BSG so often makes the game harder in certain parts of the wipe. They leave these Bot cheatcodes : ON.
Or turn them off and we noticed the AI gets “easier” suddenly.
HATE being headshot by unseen bots? These mods are for you.

These two settings were clickable in Donuts. But thats not updated to current SPT and/or FIKA, so we need this.

I thought this was already a thing for 3.11 because of QoL improvements BSG did in base tarkov. What is this doing that isn’t already done by EFT?

BSG just stop bots from head-eye you in specific conditions.

Nothing I read about applies to bot aiming and shooting at you in bushes.

Bots can see through bushes normally, which makes sense because its kind of cheesy to be able to move in and out of bushes because there isn’t like a ‘detection’ meter in tarkov.

Under ’ AI Changes and Improvements’

  • Bots can no longer see through vegetation unless an enemy is very close to them
  • Bot vision is reduced if they are inside the vegetation

0.16.1.3.35312 (28 February 2025)

  • Adjusted the AI visibility depending on vegetation. Removed the ability to see the enemy through gaps in vegetation at medium and long ranges for all bots, including Bosses, except for Zryachiy, Birdeye, and the BTR. Now, bots will no longer see through gaps in trees and bushes, but if there is a space between separate vegetation, the bot will still be able to see the enemy. This system will be further improved in future patches to make it even more predictable

having said that, idk if this mod covers anything else that hasnt been patched by BSG, or maybe this method is better than what BSG has done?

Interesting. Let me disable the mod and test it more.

The mod is pretty heavy handed, so if enemy is shooting at you and you walk into a bush they are forced to stop aiming and shooting you. Something that the patch above won’t do.

If you are in a bush and you shoot enemy, they are unable to target and shoot at you. So the mod is a bit cheesy.

Suppose the problem here that spt 3.11 is on live 0.16.1 and all that things started working fine near end of March, so it is maybe just not implemented in current SPT
