Somehow, our PMCs became walking encyclopedias, instantly recognizing every screw, optic, and pack of croutons in the city. Real PMCs are forged in ignorance and uncertainty. They don’t just find loot; they identify, study, and master it.

Fear not, we’ve bottled that classic experience for you; it’s P.A.I.N. — Painstaking Agony Induced Nuisance.

It’s time to separate the PMCs from the tourists. If you can’t tell a Salewa from a bottle of saline without looking, you haven’t earned the right to use it. Embrace the P.A.I.N.

Features:

• Forgetting what an AI-2 looks like for the tenth time.

Important:

There are some important things to note about this mod:

• It modifies Encyclopedias in any profile created on, or loaded into, the server. I don’t consider this a big deal, as vanilla Encyclopedias are basically only used to track a handful of items at this point… All this is to say, if you install this mod, play with it, and then uninstall it, you may end up having to reexamine items, like keys, which you may have already examined prior to using this mod.
• This mod tracks which profiles have been modified using a ./user/mods/refringe-pain/painedProfiles.json file. If you do not want your profile modified you can add your profile ID into this file. If this file is deleted your profiles will have their Encyclopedias reset again.

Install:

1. Decompress the contents of the download into your root SPT directory.

Uninstall:

Make sure you’ve read and understand the above then delete the following:

• ./user/mods/refringe-pain
