Simple extension for the Basic_Game plugin to make SPT compatible with ModOrganizer.
Note: if you are running Windows 24H2, you will NEED to install fixed usvfs files. If you don’t, no mods will load and they will read something like “Mod: (mod-name) is missing package.json …”. Download the .zip from this comment, “usvfs_0.5.7.0.zip”, and overwrite the usvfs files in modorganizer base directory.
If you know what this is, you probably know why you want it. If not, i recommend giving SP-EFT Manager by Schrader a try. It has many more SPT-specific features in mind, and is probably easier to understand for first timers
Simple extension for the Basic_Game plugin to make SPT compatible with ModOrganizer.
You will need ModOrganizer (Github page listed under dependencies) to use this.
It has automatic handling of most “normally” packed archives (archives containing bepinex plugins or mods containing a package.json).
If you know what ModOrganizer is, and you used it before then youll know why I made this.
It was mostly a project i made for myself but A couple of people on discord asked for it so I figured I’d share.

How do i install it?
First, install ModOrganizer 2.5.0, then extract the archive of this mod to the base directory of the MO (ModOrganizer) install.
Do not install MO2 inside of the SPT directory, neither as portable or full install. In the current version, the entire spt directory is indexed by MO2. This means MO2 will be indexing itself, which causes all sorts of permissions errors in many cases. In future versions, this will not be a problem. Keep it in mind for now though
When you launch MO2, you just have to point it at your SPT directory, where SPT.Server.exe and SPT.Launcher.exe are.
Note: In order to ensure the VFS can control the file system, your user folder should be empty. Your user directory not being empty will lead to problems with how the game accesses files inside the VFS and can cause your profiles not to save, configs not to load and etc. keep your user dir empty.
When launching the game, you must use the option in the dropdown that looks like this:
It makes sure both the server and the client can be ran at the same time and both have access to the VFS.
How do I use SVM/Realism configurator/Load order editor etc.?
In order to use configurators like this, you have to add them as an executable in the ui. Configurators must be ran through MO. Not in the physical folder.
If you need help with this, DM me on Discord (Archon001) or leave a comment on the mod and I’ll try my best to get you going.

Small bugfix.

What’s the benefit of using mod organizer ? in a few nutshells ?
I’m experiencing an issue with MOAR.
When I’m changing the maxBotCap in config files or via the Bepinex menu, it has no effect on the number of bots MOAR spawns.
Any chance that running SPT through Mod manager would make MOAR unable to read config files and then revert to default settings ?
Not sure if anyone else has this problem but when I run the
Launch SP Tarkov
via MO, I get this errorFresh install from SPT Launcher > MO 2.5.0 with installed plugin >
Launch SP Tarkov
Not sure if this a permission issue or something, used this plugin for the previous versions, trying 3.11 and now encounters this.
I love you so much
is there any chance I could get a quick confirmation on whether this could/does work with 3.11?
I recently installed and set this up for 3.11 but I’m having a lot of particular issues… and I’m unsure if it’s just something that I’ve done (because I had to re-do the install a few times) or if it’s something to do with the most recent version.
Thanks for this A lot a lot a lot, it makes my life a trillion times easier
500 Internal Server Error
Works perfectly; *however…
MO2 likes to save everything inside of it’s Virtual File System* - When MO2 is configured for SPT and it is set to launch the Server+Client batch file, this means that everything that the server generates; such as JSON configurations that largely encompass all of the player’s progress server-side, is contained within the VFS. If you are actively swapping back and forth between a laptop and a desktop 50/50 while playing SPT, this basically means that you’ll have to dig inside the VFS, pull the json out, transfer it to the other machine, put it into SPT’s /user/ dir, and as long as you have the same exact profile name and the same mod loader order, you can basically hope that this won’t eventually cause an error down the line lol
Other than that, works great. Thank you
tried to use it with MO2 2.5.2
this error popped up when it was loading the plugin
Edit: well I just skipped “installer_omod” when restarting MO2 and it just works
i’ll have to check if all the features work tho
Trying to apply settings in svm, but it cant apply and give that text: Action is canceled. Something went wrong, is there incorrect type in field or it is empty?
