Mod Description

Hey guys,

This mod is an overhaul and expansion of the .50 BMG rounds featured in Eukrye’s backport of the AK50.

THIS MOD REQUIRES EUKRYES BACKPORT OF THE AK50 TO FUNCTION

Rounds added:

  • M1 Incendiary
  • M2 AP
  • M8 API
  • M20 APIT
  • M48 Tracer
  • Mk211 Raufoss

The M21 “Headlight” was repurposed to be the M17 Tracer because the M17 Tracer was the one of those two actually used in ground combat and makes more sense for the setting.

All other preexisting rounds were retextured to match the new rounds. Let me know what you think!

How To Install and Compatibility

How to install:

  1. Open the zip file with the zip browser of your choice (I use WinRAR)
  2. Place the user folder inside into your SPT folder
  3. Enjoy!

Compatibility:

  • No incompatibilities known

The standard way to troubleshoot this mod is as follows:

  1. If you have issues when you install this mod, try making a new profile (preferably a dev bear profile) and make sure your game works. I do this by standard with my mod prior to release anyways, so it should always work.
  2. Add your previously used mods and boot the game and run a raid after each installed mod. This is to see if anything is conflicting with my mod. Tell me what is conflicting and what your error message is so that I can verify whether it can be fixed or if it just needs to be added to incompatibilities.
  3. The “missing package json” error means you installed it wrong.

What is WTT?

What is Welcome To Tarkov?

Welcome To Tarkov (WTT) is a mod for SPT AKI that has been in development for over a year. What started as a small passion project has grown in size to incorporate 10+ core members as well as contributions from other well-known mod authors and friends of WTT alike.

How does Welcome To Tarkov change the game?

As a mod, WTT overhauls SPT AKI, touching on almost every vanilla game system, as well as adding completely new systems to the game and its core mechanics. Inspired by open-world hardcore survival projects like STALKER: Anomaly and STALKER: GAMMA, WTT takes SPT’s artificial multiplayer MMO difficulty adders and replaces them with a challenging world economy, loot scarcity rebalancing, a lore friendly quest overhaul, and a map-traveling system built from rewritten portions of the Traveler mod allowing seamless travel between maps. Aside from its changes to the game’s core properties, WTT also adds to the world’s variety of traders, NPC’s, characters, items, and quests:

  • Over 500 custom bundles adding new weapons, attachments, wearables, containers, food, medical, and barter items.
  • New bosses with their own custom gear that will be properly incorporated into WTT’s quest lines.
  • New, meaningful traders with their own lore-friendly quests and narrative elements to help the player progress through the story-line of WTT.
  • New playable characters and outfits that will add to the player’s customization abilities.
  • New quest types incorporating brand new map extraction points, putting the player’s knowledge and familiarization of SPT’s maps to the test.

Welcome To Tarkov stands as one of the largest mods created for SPT AKI thus far.

So, some of the rounds will not stack over the amount that is purchased. M1, M2, M8, and M48 do not stack higher than 10. Is that intended? And if so, how can I change that? I changed my ammo stack amount to be higher so it takes up less space.

Look at the tarkov changes website to see the new 50 bmg ammo. It only stacks to 10 and that is normal.

You can look around in the item file and change the stacking amount

Heya mate, was wondering, what program do you use to make new assets?

Well it depends on exactly what you’re asking. I use ASGUI to rip thr models from the game, Blender to manipulate and position the items as needed, Adobe Substance painter to retexture the object, and Unity to process it all and make it into a game object. I use VSCodium to code.

In this specific mod’s case I just took the models from the next patch of tarkov, it’s just retextures of the tarkov 50 bmg

and how did you extract them? when i extract the textures, the part that’s hit by light has a lighter colour in render. did you experience that?

The only part of the textures that I used, since I completely retextured these bullets, is the normal. That’s all. But yes base BSG bullets usually are baked to be lighter on top and darker on bottom. I don’t like that and want to change it, tbh

I see. I’m new to Blender, so I really appreciate these clarifications. Just to make sure, you also make the brass texture? If so, could I get a link to a guide or to the place where you learnt to make these textures from?

amazing, i thought the ammo types BSG chose were very wierd… the only thing i could suggest wich i modified for myself is the amount in stock for traders because there is no point making you wait hours and hours just to stock up to fill a loadout imo.
