The author left the site due to a conflict with the author of the SPTRealism mod, I still have them, but only for version 3.8.0 and I don’t know how to transfer them to the latest version

He got super mad that someone made a realism patch for his mod and kind of left the scene in modding. No clue if he’s coming back.

Wow thats pretty vague, its like I’m going to magically figure out whats wrong with your specific setup from those words.

My bad. Didn’t mean to sound so vague. When I start the game and I reach the first screen with the loading icon, the one right before you get to the main screen with the exit menu, it just gets stuck there loading. It never reaches the exit option. It only happens when I have this mod installed. I have waited for minutes to go through but it never does. I keep the server screen visible on my second screen to watch for any errors and nothing gets registered that would indicate an error. The only reason I know it’s this mod because I basically troubledshooted the issue by removing the mods one at a time and restarting the game over and over till I found the culprit.

Was that less vague?

You know its still very vague to blame this mod for it. Have you tried only running this and its requirements. Its probably some other mod conflicting with it because it works fine on my end.

I’ll give it a go. I’m no expert at these mods so I can make mistakes in diagnosing the issues. So far I’ve figured out other mods with this method but like I said, I could be wrong. I’ll advise of my results.

OK, I tested it multiple times to be sure, just the mod by itself with the trader that goes with it. The error that appears is not consistent. It happens either before I run the launcher or after I run the game. Either way the error seems the same just at different points and the game hangs on the loading screen.

You literally failed to follow basic instructions. It says right there on multiple locations you need the armor insert dependency (MFAC Armor Inserts) for it to work. And you’re not even on the right mod page reporting the error. From your screenshot it literally says its for the MGS collection, not this mod.

OK. My bad. I didn’t realize I was on the wrong one. I must have confused the gear mod with the snake one since they both say gear in the folders.

But also. I had issues with the armor inserts with Realism which I had to remove to use. But I now have the inserts. I removed Realism. This is why I was likely missing the inserts and didn’t realize that the MGS mod was having issues because of it. It’s hard to keep track of so many mods that require dependencies when one has an issue and you forget the others need it. I never got a warning that the MGS mod was missing the insert mod.

I’ll delete these whole thread in a few if I can since I made the mistake of confusing it with another of yours to give you a chance to see this response.

Lol just leave it, its funny. Yeah, its a shortfall of the current mod system. Maybe they’ll add a real dependency check or maybe there is and I don’t know how to call the function in package.json

Nope, thats limited by the existing rig layouts. Its still accessible though.
